The Art of Living – Sotogrande’s Stylish Spin On Spy Life
Sotogrande has
always been a byword for elegance, but its latest campaign adds a twist of
tongue-in-cheek British charm. In The Art of Living, a suave secret agent
swaps car chases for chukkas, high-stakes missions for leisurely sails, and
deadlines for dinner reservations – all set against the sun-drenched
backdrop of southern Spain’s most exclusive residential
area.
Created in collaboration with New Light Pictures and directed by Pedro Matos and João Viegas, this playful short film isn’t your usual property promo. Instead, it cleverly captures the understated glamour of Sotogrande life through the daily rituals of “James” – a man who appears more concerned with perfecting his backhand than briefing MI6.
Thursdays are
for polo. Fridays are for sailing. Business calls? Only if strictly
necessary.
While the film indulges in a healthy dose of cinematic
flair, the lifestyle it depicts is far from fantasy. It reflects what
makes Sotogrande such an extraordinary place to call home: a harmonious
blend of leisure, sport, community, and tranquillity – all grounded in
the everyday moments that give life its true
richness.
“Sotogrande has always been more than just a place to
live,” said Rita Jordão, Marketing Director of Sotogrande SA. “It’s a
way of life that seamlessly fuses sophistication and simplicity. With
this campaign, we wanted to capture that essence – and offer a playful
invitation to discover a community where nature, sport, and understated
luxury go hand in hand.”
The campaign showcases the rhythm of
life in this Cadiz-based residential haven, where long lunches,
impromptu tennis matches, and sundowners at the marina are just part of
the weekly agenda.
It’s the kind of lifestyle that might seem
straight out of a film – but in Sotogrande, it’s just another
Thursday.
