He found the perfect location along the Guadiaro River, just 30 minutes from Marbella, and secured the land despite restrictions on foreign ownership at the time. Franco’s regime even endorsed the development, designating it as a Centre of National Tourist Interest.

The first project was a golf course surrounded by homes, and over time, the area grew into a luxurious haven with low-density developments to preserve its green, Mediterranean landscape.
